Case Study:
Weather Boarded House

Wadhurst, East Sussex
Repairing and protecting weatherboarding and window frames.

The Project

The Project
The owner was concerned by serious peeling paintwork, decayed timbers and moss and algae growth. It is typical of such properties.

Our Solution

Our Solution
Perfect Painting has worked on many such properties.  We replaced rotten weatherboarding, repaired window frames and used a moisture vapour permeable paint system including preservative primers for the timbers. These penetrated deep into the timbers to provide strong adhesion for the exterior coatings.  The wood stain we used provided a thinner coating increasing microporosity and containing a fungicide to combat mould.  We also used a rust oxidiser Inhibitor for the metal windows.

The Outcome

The Outcome
A very satisfied owner, knowing he now had a house protected against the elements to the highest standards.
